This program is designed to offer support to artists, providing them with a platform to display their talents and collaborate with adidas.
Notably, it marks the brand’s inaugural foray into a digital artist-in-residence program, slated for a September launch.
It’s worth noting that this initiative doesn’t limit itself to digital art but extends its scope to physical creations as well.
The initial phase of this endeavor will shine a spotlight on the works of two exceptionally gifted artists, MonkeeMoto and Adra Kandil, also known as Dear Nostalgia.
MonkeeMoto is renowned for their proficiency in web3 game development and digital concept design, while Adra Kandil excels in the realms of collages, typography, photography, and digital montages.
Both artists will release their creations as limited editions, with only 100 pieces available per artist, priced at 0.15 ETH, alongside open editions at 0.03 ETH each.
These will be up for grabs from September 6th to 11th, coinciding with the ‘RESIDENCY by adidas’ program’s launch.
The captivating works of MonkeeMoto and Dear Nostalgia will be presented in an immersive digital art gallery during The Gateway by NFT Now, as part of Korean Blockchain Week.
It’s important to note that the limited edition pieces will be exclusively accessible to attendees of The Gateway event in Seoul, while the open editions will be accessible to the wider public.
